 Northern Dialogues with Ed Schultz

Ed SchultzThe Northern Dialogues Series brings together eminent Canadians and Finns to discuss present-day northern matters of interest to both countries, including science, environment, sustainable economic development, education, circumpolar cooperation, literature, arts and architecture.

The April instalment featured the former Grand Chief of the Council of Yukon First Nations, Mr. Edmund (Ed) Schultz. The event was introduced by Ambassador Adèle K. Dion and moderated by Professor Mikko Saikku of the Renvall Institute at the University of Helsinki. More

Scene from "Child Star" by Don McKellarGreat Canadian films— you betcha! Established by the Toronto International Film Festival, Canada's Top Ten is an annual initiative that highlights the best Canadian films of the year.

The 20 greatest Canadian films were unveiled for the third time in 20 years at the Toronto International Film Festival in December. Canada's best films of all time were chosen by a group of some 100 filmmakers, programmers and industry representatives from Canada and around the world. Numerous directors made the list several times, including Denys Arcand, Egoyan and David Croenenberg.
