Chairman's update

Summer is at long last here! And for the Board of the Finnish-Canadian Society, our aim is to build upon great past works and the continued support of the Finnish Ministry of Education to further our role and prominence in Finland. New members and key activities during the year will add value and foster growth on a cross-cultural level.

The exchange of Finnish-ness and Canadian-ness permits us to learn from each other and to be closer. One way of achieving this is by opening channels of communication, and the Vaahteranlehti is a prime example! As well, we hope to evolve our Web site during the course of this year into a more dynamic, up-to-date, and useful guide to where things both Finnish and Canadian can reside.
